Mikael Pasini is an Italian professional dancer, performer, and dance educator based in New York City. Originally from Sicily, he began his dance training at the age of four under private instruction. At eleven, he was accepted into the Accademia Nazionale di Danza of Trapani, affiliated with the Accademia Nazionale di Danza of Rome, where he continued developing a strong foundation in classical ballet.
At fourteen, Mikael moved to Rome to attend the Liceo Coreutico at Convitto Nazionale Vittorio Emanuele as a full-time dance student. There, he trained in classical ballet under Marzia Recchia, former Principal Dancer of Teatro dell’Opera di Roma; Francesca Malacarne; and Fabrizio Podaliri, former Principal Dancer of Teatro alla Scala di Milano. Alongside his classical training, he expanded his artistic range into contemporary and commercial dance, studying with choreographers and performers including Bill Goodson, Garrison Rochelle, Francesco Porcelluzzi, Gianluca Lanzillotta, Gabriele Rossi, Kledi Kadiu, Federica Angelozzi, and Sabatino D'Eustachio, among others.
While performing on Amici di Maria De Filippi, one of Italy’s leading television programs dedicated to emerging dance and musical talent, and attending World Dance Movement Italy, an international dance festival that brings together dancers and renowned teachers from around the world, Mikael caught the attention of choreographer, ballet master, and Peridance founder Igal Perry. Within weeks, Perry awarded him a full scholarship to the Peridance Certificate Program in New York City. Following his studies, Mikael was invited to join Peridance Contemporary Dance Company, where he has performed as a lead dancer and served as a rehearsal coordinator.
Since establishing his career in the United States, Mikael has worked extensively across concert dance, commercial performance, television, film, and music. His performance credits include the TDF Gala Broadway Awards and New York Fashion Week for Studio 189. His screen credits include Wonderama, produced by David Michaels, House Party, and Un uomo e una voce, directed by Giuseppe Conti.
Mikael has also collaborated with internationally recognized recording artists. His music-video credits include Mordechai Shapiro’s Ashira, which has received millions of views; Simcha Leiner’s Shuvi; and Brandon Jerrod’s Overtime, which received the award for Best Music Video at the Hudson International Film Festival in New York City.
As a concert dancer, Mikael has performed at prominent venues in New York and internationally. With Peridance Contemporary Dance Company, he performed Igal Perry’s The Nutcracker at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts. He has also performed at Sony Music Hall in choreography by Miles Keeney, whose credits include Good Morning America, the NBA Brooklynettes, and RuPaul’s Drag Race. Mikael’s international career has also brought him back to Italy. Following a highly competitive audition process, award-winning choreographer Kristian Cellini invited him to perform alongside legendary Italian ballerina Carla Fracci, one of the most celebrated interpreters of Romantic ballet, at Teatro Luca Ronconi in Italy.
Throughout his career, Mikael has performed works by acclaimed choreographers including Robert Battle, Igal Perry, Jessica Lang, Lar Lubovitch, Johannes Wieland, Mike Tyus, Larry Keigwin, Yin Yue, Roderick R. George, Dolly Sfeir, and Nicolas Palmquist, among others.
